At HSSJ (Heavens Sunflowers are Scattering Joy), joy is at the heart of everything we do. We find great happiness in sharing our creative passions, and we believe in the power of love to bring people from all walks of life together.

Meet the dynamic duo behind the magic—Jamissa and Kelly Lawson. Though they share the same last name, they aren’t related by blood. Instead, their bond is a beautiful story of friendship and sisterhood in Christ. For 16 years, these two talented crafters have supported each other, building a strong creative partnership grounded in faith.

Jamissa’s crafting journey began with the opening of the Scattering Joy Craft Boutique on Main Street in Hamilton, Oh. Though the boutique eventually closed, Jamissa’s passion for creating never faded. She continued to craft beautiful pieces from the comfort of her home. Meanwhile, Kelly, a devoted mother of four— including a special needs son—found a new creative outlet with the addition of a laser machine. This reinvigorated her love for crafting and set the stage for the two to come together again.

Family is at the core of their work. Jamissa, a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren, and Kelly, a single mom, both understand the importance of love, resilience, and the bonds that unite us. “HSSJ, LLC (Heaven’s Sunflowers are Scattering Joy)” was born out of Kelly’s deep affection for sunflowers, a tribute to her child who now resides in heaven.

Their creative journey is more than just an artistic endeavor—it’s a story of healing, strength, and the comfort found in shared faith. Through every handcrafted piece, they’ve found solace, and they invite you to join them on this journey of healing and connection.
